Tried both bulbs but they did not work, so I think it could be something wrong with the machine. Will get it looked at but many thanks.

My machine is 40 years old but I still managed to get a bulb to fit it. Delivery was within two days. Well done Bernina.

My only comment is that the bulb is slightly bigger than the one removed making it quite tricky to insert. (Almost thought it would not be appropriate for the model.)I have not in fact checked whether the casing gets hot or not as indicated in earlier reviews.

807 bulb replacement

The bulb works but the machine casing gets very hot very quickly. I now switch off the new light after each row of machining, rather than leave it turned on for the whole sewing session. Not sure this is necessary, but rather safe than sorry!
